First long drive with the kids to Fujairah, feeling a bit anxious

We are planning a weekend trip to Fujairah with our two young children, our first proper road trip since we moved here. I am excited but also really nervous about the drive, especially making sure our car is up for it without any issues on the highway. My husband is usually the one who handles the car, but he is just as unsure about what specific checks are needed for a long journey in this heat. I was reading online about things to look out for, and a lot of the pre-travel car maintenance advice I found mentioned checking not just the oil, but also things like the coolant mixture and battery health, which we never really think about. It also stressed having a proper emergency kit with things like a portable jump starter and reflective triangles. It's a bit overwhelming trying to remember everything. For other parents who do these trips often, what do you think is the absolute most important thing to check or pack for peace of mind?
