Optima yellow top for a weekend off roader, overkill or worth the money?

I've been slowly building up my old Wrangler for weekend desert trips and after adding some auxiliary lights a winch and a small fridge for camping the stock battery is clearly not keeping up anymore, the voltage drops noticeably when everything is running and starting the engine after setting up camp for a while is starting to feel like a gamble. A few guys in my off road group run Optima yellow tops and swear by them for deep cycle capability plus the ability to handle the vibrations and heat from dune bashing.
